Touchpad TV Remote · Effective 26 October 2026

Touchpad TV Remote ("the app") lets you control an LG webOS TV from your Android phone over your home Wi-Fi network. This policy explains what the app does with information. In short: the app does not collect, store on any server, or share your personal data.

Information the app does not collect

The app has no accounts, no sign-in, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking tools. It does not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal information, and it does not send any information to the developer or to any third party.

Information kept on your phone

To reconnect to your TV without asking you every time, the app saves two things in its private storage on your phone: the TV's address on your Wi-Fi network (for example 192.168.1.20) and the pairing key that your TV gives the app when you press Yes on the TV. This information never leaves your phone. You can remove it at any time by clearing the app's storage in your phone's settings or by uninstalling the app.

Network access

The app connects only to your TV on your local network, to send remote-control commands such as buttons, pointer movement, volume, and text you type for the TV's search box. To find your TV, the app checks addresses on your own Wi-Fi network. The app does not contact any internet server.

Text you type

Text you type in the app's keyboard box is sent only to your TV so it can appear in the TV's text field. The app does not keep it.

Children

The app is a general utility and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Trademarks

Touchpad TV Remote is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by LG Electronics. LG and webOS are trademarks of LG Electronics Inc.
